Massachusetts isn't exactly the first place that pops to mind when you think about American automotive tradition, yet did you know that Duryea Motor Wagon Company built the country's first gasoline-powered production car in Springfield in 1893 ?

One of the rare examples of Duryea's single-cylinder model was on show for the crowd to see at the second annual Boston Cup classic car show held at the Boston Common around the Parkman Bandstand at the end of September.
