Elon Musk Responds to Tesla Model S Incident, Blames Firefighters for Worsening the Fire

There have been many happy moments for Tesla this year, but on Tuesday, the story of a Model S catching fire after a crash - fortunately without any casualties or injuries, cast some rainy clouds over the California-based maker of electric cars. A video of the incident quickly spread around the web hurting Tesla's stock as shares fell from $190 to a low near $168, before jumping up to around $181 on Friday.
Today, the company responded through its founder and CEO, Elon Musk. In a long statement, Musk explained that the cause of the accident was a large metal object that had fallen off a truck and which impaled the Model S' quarter-inch thick underbody panel.
