Porsche Macan to Get 4-Cylinder Boxer Engine in Late 2014, Cayman and Boxster to Follow
The brand-new Porsche Macan SUV will reportedly get an entry-level four-cylinder gasoline engine by the end of 2014. Currently the crossover is available with a choice of three engines: a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo gasoline engine, a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel and the all-new 3.6-liter biturbo gasoline unit.
A report from AutoExpress quotes Porsche manager of transmission and drivetrain development Dr. Thomas Casper as saying, “I can’t tell you the exact month, but sometime in 2014, perhaps at the end.”
