GM-Sponsored Study Finds Motor Vehicle Crashes the No.1 Cause Teen Deaths in the U.S.

About 2,500 teens die in motor vehicle crashes each year in the U.S., with accidents being the leading cause of death for this demographic. Fatalities are split between teen drivers (56 percent) and passengers (44 percent), according to a study conducted by Safe Kids Worldwide funded as part of a $2 million grant from the General Motors Foundation.
