DKW was one of the four original brands that eventually formed Audi. In 1956, it made a vehicle called the Schnellaster Kastenwagen, which roughly translates to Rapid Transit Panel Van, a vehicle powered by a 42 hp two-stroke three-cylinder engine displacing 896cc.
