Commercial Van Sales In Canada - September 2015 YTD

Canadian businesses, government agencies, and individual consumers registered 11% more new commercial vans in September 2015 than during the same period one year ago. 

Despite a 33% loss in the small commercial van sub-category, the overall segment posted a 314-unit increase because of big gains from class-leading products.

The Ford Transit, Canada's best-selling commercial van, generated 687 September sales, a massive 910% leap forward compared with its launch period one year ago.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ranked second in the category in September with a 23% jump to 566 Canadian sales. GMC's Savana, meanwhile, posted a 4% increase to 539 sales. Combined with its Chevrolet Express twin, GM Canada's full-size commercial vans were down 9%. 

Large commercial vans earned 84.4% of the category's September 2015 volume, up from 74.0% one year ago.
