The Ford Focus ST, you can have. So long as it's a 5-door hatchback with a 6-speed manual transmission.

A Ford Focus wagon, however, you may not have. Thus, you obviously can't combine the ST's hot 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder – tested more than two years ago by GCBC – with the Focus's wagon bodystyle.

Nor can you option your Focus ST with a 185-horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder diesel generating 295 lb-ft of torque.

And you most definitely can't have your Focus ST painted in this Stealth Grey colour, which is strangely both eye-catching and subtle. Could the Focus ST diesel wagon be any more stealthy than when it's painted in an almost matte grey?

Wagons aren't for everybody. Automakers certainly believe they're not for North Americans, though Mercedes-Benz did just take the unusual step of releasing the new C-Class wagon to Canada. For the most part, however, we're not offered wagons, and when we are, they're done like that C-Class: not in enthusiast form.
