In January 2016, for a third consecutive month, the best-selling midsize car in Canada was the Honda Accord.

Sales of GCBC's favourite midsize car jumped 39% to 837 units in January – Honda Canada sold 3708 Civics last month. Over the last three months, Canadian Accord volume rose 18%.
Last year's top-selling midsize car, the Toyota Camry, suffered a 23% plunge in January. Over the last three months, Camry volume declined 37%.
Total midsize car sales were down just 1% in January 2016, an abbreviated sales month for the auto industry thanks to a quirk in the calendar. Overall, passenger car volume was down by a far more consequential 3.5%.
U.S. sales of midsize cars fell 6.6% in January.
