Large Car Sales In America - July 2016 YTD
U.S. sales of full-size volume brand cars were hammered by the market's lack of interest in July 2016. With blame spread across virtually the whole fleet, sales plunged 21%, a decrease of more than 8000 sales compared with July 2015.
The Chevrolet Impala's 38% drop to 5045 units represented the Impala's second sub-6K sales performance in the last three months. General Motors averaged 9700 monthly Impala sales in 2015, 26,000 Impala sales per month in 2007.

Dodge Charger volume tumbled 17%. Its Chrysler 300 partner posted a 38% slide to 2369 sales, the 300's first trip below the 3K mark since August 2011.
Ford Taurus volume plunged 36% to 3069 total sales, Police Interceptor included, an 18-month low.
After averaging 5900 monthly Avalon sales in 2013, Toyota reported fewer than 4000 Avalon sales in July, the fifth sub-4K month this year.
