Large Luxury SUV Sales In Canada - July 2016 YTD

Canadian sales of the Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV ballooned 66% to 201 units in July 2016, a significant leap which propelled the Escalade past the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class for a second consecutive month.

Year-to-date, total Escalade volume is up 20% with 36% of the nameplate's total volume stemming from the long-wheelbase ESV variant. In other words, the Cadillac Escalade ESV's 518 January-July sales trounces the totals achieved by the Lexus LX570, Lincoln Navigator (including its long-wheelbase variant), and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The Escalade is by no means the only surging full-size luxury SUV.

Infiniti QX80 sales are on a record pace, up 74% so far this year. Land Rover Range Rover sales are up 11%, year-over-year. 

Lexus LX570 sales have more than doubled in 2016. Mercedes-Benz G-Class volume is on the upswing and with improved availability, the GLS-Class (formerly the GL) is likely to benefit
