Small And Midsize Luxury SUV Sales In America - July 2016 YTD
Let down by some declines in the middle section of the sector, U.S. sales of luxury SUVs were nevertheless very healthy overall in July 2016. At the top end, full-size luxury flagships jumped 18%.

The smallest trio of German luxury crossovers combined for a 24% July increase worth an additional 1056. One size and price class up, big gains from the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Infiniti QX50, Land Rover Discovery Sport joined with the additions provided by all new models to provide an 18% category-wide improvement.
Yet another size and/or price class up, there were many noteworthy increases in July. Sales in the seventh month of 2016 were 146% stronger for the Volvo XC90 than in July 2015.
Audi Q7 volume jumped 20%. Land Rover's LR4 and Range Rover Sport rose by 638 sales. Mercedes-Benz GLE sales continued to rise, as well, as did sales of America's top-selling premium utility vehicle, the Lexus RX.
But at Cadillac, where the XT5's replacement of the Cadillac SRX is slow in taking full effect – July XT5/SRX volume was down 7%. Both of Infiniti's mid-range crossovers posted declines. Porsche reported a 28% Cayenne drop. And at BMW, the South Carolina-built X5 reported a 54% drop, the worst decline of any continuing volume nameplate in July.
