Small SUV Sales In America - July 2016 YTD

2016 Honda CRV brown
America's top-selling utility vehicle in each of the last four years, the Honda CR-V, set an all-time monthly record with 36,017 sales in July 2016. 

Sales of July's second-ranked Nissan Rogue likewise rose to an all-time monthly record of 33,298 units.

The Toyota RAV4, meanwhile, which has outsold both the CR-V and Escape and every other utility vehicle so far this year, reported record July sales of 31,871 units. 

The trio accounts for four out of every ten sales in their category.

Sales of most rivals are on the rise, as well, though General Motors' Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain are losing market share in their old age. 

Sales of the Mazda CX-5 and Subaru Forester are declining modestly. 

Jeep's Cherokee, which will enjoy increased rates of production once the Dodge Dart ends its run later this summer.
