Top 20 Worst-Selling Vehicles In America - August 2016
Of the 20 most rapidly declining new vehicles in the United States in August 2016, 16 were passenger cars. Seven were direct rivals in the midsize sedan category, from the top (bottom?) ranked Chrysler 200, which will end its production run later this year, to the perpetually low-volume Mazda 6.
U.S. Vehicle Sales Rankings By Model - August 2016 YTD
Regardless of volume, most of the sharpest declines reported in August came from defunct or discontinued models, or vehicles which are about to be replaced or are in a replacement phase. But the Toyota Prius C and Prius V both made appearances, falling 62% and 57%, respectively, from August 2015 levels.
Among the lowest-volume vehicles, our incoming data now includes figures for specific Maserati and Bentley models. Given their price points, it's not surprising to see a couple of Bentley sedans rank among the 20 lowest-volume vehicles on sale in America. Remember, many high-end ultra-luxury brands don't report sales by specific model.
