Canadian sales of commercial vans jumped 14% in September 2016, buoyed by gains both among small vans and lage.

The Ford Transit, up 22% to 837 units, led all full-size vans and the commercial van market overall. Year-to-date, the Transit owns 32% of the full-size sector. 

Full-size van sales increased by 2314 units in the first three-quarters of 2016, an 11% leap in a new vehicle market that grew 3%.

The Ford Transit Connect, meanwhile, is Canada's top-selling small commercial van. 

Sales are up just 2% so far this year in a sector that's growing twice that fast, but Transit Connect volume jumped 32% to 277 units in September: 37% market share in the small commercial van segment.
