Top 20 Best-Selling Cars In Canada - November 2016

Despite a 9% year-over-year decline, the Honda Civic still trounced its nearest rival by a 1,039-unit margin in Canada to end November more than 14,000 sales ahead of the Hyundai Elantra heading into the final month of the year.

2016 will be the 19th consecutive year of Honda Civic passenger car sales leadership in Canada. As a new tenth-generation car, Civic sales are up 1% this year, an admittedly modest uptick for an all-new version of Canada's favourite car. Yet the Civic's share of the overall car market has increased to 10% in 2016 from 9% last year.

The Civic and Elantra were just two of 11 cars on this list of Canada's 20 best-selling cars to report fewer November 2016 sales than the same cars did in November 2015. Seven of the 10 top sellers reported declines. The biggest year-over-year increase belonged to the Honda Fit, which jumped 74% to 914 sales, good enough for 16th place. The Hyundai Accent's 44% drop was the worst of the bunch.
