Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In Canada - July 2016

Canada's 20 best-selling new vehicles produced more than half of the Canadian auto industry's new vehicle sales volume in July 2016. 

The Ford F-Series' 21% year-over-year jump to 13,585 sales stymied the industry's slowdown. Canadian auto sales fell by 4600 units in July 2016. Excluding the F-Series, sales were down by 7000 units.

For the first time since February, the Honda Civic was not Canada's top-selling car. The Civic's surge and Hyundai Elantra's 2% uptick flipped the July order. 

Honda's CR-V led all SUVs/crossovers with a best-ever monthly result of 5012 units in July. The sixth-ranked Dodge Grand Caravan earned more than half of all Canadian minivan sales.

Compared with July 2015, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Soul, and Honda HR-V forfeited their positions in July 2016. The Honda Odyssey, Kia Sorento, Nissan Sentra, and Hyundai Tucson filled the voids.

Throwing all those vehicles into one group results in this list of the 30 best-selling vehicles overall. We end up with four pickup trucks, two minivans, 11 cars, and 13 utility vehicles.
